What is the best?

What is the one thing that can go with any type of meal you’re eating, whether it is steak or just a sandwich? French Fries are the only possible answer. They could probably be their own food group. The really tricky part about eating French Fries is deciding on what actually makes the fry good, and what is the best place to get them from. Well in this blog you will get my opinion on what place has the best French Fries.

Starting off with Burger King, I personally did not have very high hopes going in to that place. I had some preconceived notions going in there I admit it, but I was actually very surprised at how well the Fries were. Each fry that I looked at were completely different in size, some were very long while other fries were just too short. The first time I bit into the fry it was very hot, but by the time that I was halfway done with the fries they were cold and that did not work for me. As I started to eat more and more of the fries I noticed that the outside was perfectly crunchy but did not have the golden brown look on the outside . The inside of the French fry could have been cooked a little more through, but as far as the quantity of potato that was in the fry, there was just the right amount. French Fries should not be eaten if they do not have salt on them. While some places have way too much salt on the fry, Burger Kind did a very well job of putting just the right amount of salt on the fries. The one major complaint that I have about Burger Kings French Fries are that they are too dry. As far as I am concerned, that by stuffing it with so much potato that made the fries too dry. Which do you think is better having the French fry full of potato or drier than dirt?

Wendy’s was another place that when I walked in I had a feeling that the fries were not going to be too good. But thank god that I was wrong, these fries were amazing. Everything about them from the look, crunchiness, and taste was pure perfection. When picking up the first fry, I realized that these were hot but not too hot, and throughout the experience at Wendy’s they stayed hot. Biting down into the fry was really surprising; they were crunchy and hot on the outside, but warm and soft on the inside.   I am a big believer about putting salt on everything and the sea salt that they use really adds a lot to the fry, but a couple of times I ate a fry that was hardly salted and sometimes there were fries that were just to salty. I found myself using so many napkins because salt was all over my fingers. Other than the salt, the fries were perfect, I mean PERFECT. I would highly recommend Wendy’s French fries.

I was so excited to walk into Portillo’s and get a large fry because I know from past experiences that Portillo’s have the best French fries. But when I sat down and started eating the fries I was sadly disappointed. The aroma of the fries made me think that these were going to be the best, but it lacked in salt and flavor. There is not much more to be said about Portillo’s French fries because they were just a letdown and after eating a few fries I did not want to eat more. Maybe if there was more salt or they warmer they could have been better. There were a few fries in the bunch that were very good, but it should not just be a couple of fries that are good, it should be the whole thing.

When you or someone goes to McDonald’s, fries are probably the one thing that everyone eats when they go there.  Even though they probably are not the healthiest thing in the world they are still so delicious. There were so many fries in just one order, and that is what we all want. These fries were very salty but it was just the right amount of salt. Each fry was crunchy and hot, and I could not resist on eating more and more.

When I think back to all of the carbs that I consumed that day there are a few things that I was considering. Was it worth it, did they taste good, and how much did I pay? Portillo’s was the most disappointing French fry out there, so if I were to choose which place I could have left out it would have been Portillo’s. The one place that I am glad I went to was Wendy’s there fries were amazing, everything about them made me want to eat more and more.
